I was sitting in the car with my best friend on Saturday. Like everyday, I was crying. We were going on about the things we both have been through. The good, the bad, the beauty, and the sad. She then told me this quote:
“People are often unreasonable, illogical and self-centered;
Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives;
Be kind anyway.
If you are successful, you will win some false friends and some true enemies;
Succeed anyway.
If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you;

The thing that I still struggle with is being okay with all I am. I always think that if I am kind to others, others will be kind to me. If I love others, others will love me. But the truth is you can be the kindest and most loving person in the world, but some people will still find something about you to put down.
You have to be kind, loving, pure, honest because that is who you are. It does not matter what other people say. If you know within yourself that you are all of those things, you are doing good. Do not doubt yourself because of others. Find peace and strength in your being because people can be hard. But do not let that change your authentic self.
Give the world the best you have. People may not give it in return, but the world will thank you.
