We are a Blog dedicated to detach the negative stigmas and labels put onto us from the struggles we have due to our mental illnesses.

About The Creator
Skyla Stillo is a writer born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. She started Unlabeled Blog at age fifteen, the day after she was discharged from her first hospitalization due to a suicide attempt. She was diagnosed with many disorders including; Bipolar Disorder, ADD, Social Anxiety/Panic Disorder, OCD, and PTSD. Returning to high school, she was bullied for telling people that she was in the mental hospital because of the negative stigmas attached to mental health in today’s society. Rumors calling her “broken” swarmed the school but instead of believing it, she went home and made this entire website, called “Unlabeled.” She was sick of the labels being put onto her and always had, but this time was different. She wasn’t broken, if anything she just put all the pieces of herself back together, she was stronger than ever. She started her college career at Columbia College Chicago in fall of 2019. But in May of her Junior year, her psychiatrist and therapist came to the conclusion that she had been misdiagnosed with Bipolar Disorder and was actually severely addicted to a medication (Klonopin) that she had been prescribed to since 2018. In the summer of 2022, she under went the process of tapering off of CLonazepam and went through withdrawals until December of that year.
Sky is now 22 living in the River North area of Chicago with her boyfriend Lee Gnau of “The Paperbacks” band and is in her Senior year at Columbia College Chicago. She is majoring in creative writing with a focus in poetry and a minor is woman’s studies. She is still dealing with the residual effects of the addiction causing her to now add a diagnoses of PAWS (post acute withdrawal syndrome.) But has come a very long way with her healing journey and spent the summer of 2023 taking part in TMS (Transcranial magnetic stimulation) treatment. Other than mental health, Sky loves nature, fashion, reading, old hippie music and she will always love dancing since she was a competitive dancer for most of her life. Sky has always been very outspoken and opinionated, especially when it comes to human rights activism. She is a supporter of BLM and protested during the 2020 movement. She has been to many Feminism and Women’s Rights protests, which is one of her main passions. She is an ally of the LGBTQ+ community and will not stand for any hatred, exclusion, or Trump Supporters (get over it, he lost).
